Projects and Activities

Differentiating for the widely varying abilities and challenges within small groups of learners is accomplished through project based learning in the natural environment.

 

The teaching and learning is authentic, engaging, interactive, and multi-sensory.

The curricula is delivered in over arching projects from which teachers create activities. The projects integrate multiple subjects and each activity offers a range of opportunities for extended engagement in the natural world. The lessons are highly structured but flexible enough to allow child-led enquiry. 

 

We present three over-arching projects and a sampling of accompanying activities.
